I seem to have a few people assume that Ganador's name is a modification of Ganondorf, the villain in the Legend of Zelda.

Nope. It means "Winner" or "Winning." It's Spanish. It's not generally used as a name.

I read a dictionary once when I was a kid. It was an abridged one. I was still bored after reading it, so I read through a similarly abridged Spanish-English dictionary, as well.

I suspect this had some fairly significant effect on my psyche, but I don't really have any proof. It helped me out a lot in school, though.
